この通りにしてみましたが、「Failed to start the X server...」は同じですね。

更に、「Screen」セクションの「SubSection Display」に「Depth 24」の行があ
るのは、ともかくとして、「Modes "800x600"」とかいう行があるのも、気になっ
ています。
